Arrival of two junior lawyers Zuzana Hebká and Martina Bacíková

JŠK, advokátní kancelář, is pleased to announce the arrival of two junior lawyers Zuzana Hebká and Martina Bacíková. With their addition, the number of professional advisors at JŠK has increased to 19.

Zuzana Hebká graduated from Charles University Law School in 2014. She also studied at the Université de Lausanne in Switzerland. As a student, before she joined JŠK, Zuzana gained experience in Squire Sanders (nowadays Squire Patton Boggs), an international law firm in Prague. At JŠK she focuses mainly on civil, corporate and insurance law and real estate matters.

Martina graduated from Charles University Law School in 2012. Before joining JŠK, Martina worked for one of the largest Czech law firms Havel, Holásek & Partners where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and also for the international law firm Kinstellar where she worked in the banking & finance department. Martina continues working on M&A and corporate matters and intends to help in developing the media practice of JŠK.

Student competition award

In connection with Juristi, an academic society, and supported by obczan.cz, the community portal, JŠK has announced the winner of the student competition for the best essay on Damages for mental hardship in respect of injury in the Austrian and German law. JŠK congratulates Barbora Dufková for winning the price.

Breakfast briefing: IT in the healthcare facilities from the privacy perspective

On Friday January 16th 2015, JŠK held a seminar in its office regarding the question of IT in medical facilities from the perspective of privacy. Presenters were Eva Nováková, partner at JSK; Marko Antič, head of financial lines at AIG Europe Limited and Richard Novák, vice-president for customer solution at T-Mobile Czech Republic, a.s. During the discussion, we talked, inter alia, about the regulation regarding data saving about patients outside the medical facilities, the risk of data loss and the possibilities of its insurance.
