JŠK provided legal advisory services to the investment and asset management group Catalyst Capital in connection with the sale of the Olympia Olomouc shopping centre to the development group Redstone.
When it opened in 2004, Olympia Olomouc was the largest shopping centre in the Olomouc Region. It has a total area of over 31,000 square metres and 1,384 parking spaces. In 2015, the centre underwent a major renovation, which included interior modernisation and an expansion of its entertainment zones. Today, the centre hosts around fifty shops, restaurants, and service providers.
Catalyst Capital, which is selling Olympia Olomouc after six years of ownership, is an established investment and asset management group focused on real estate and alternative real assets. The company specialises in acquiring buildings and land with the aim of enhancing their value—whether through renovation, reconstruction, change of use, restructuring, or new development.
The legal advisory team was led by partner Roman Šťastný, with senior associate Tomáš Quirenz in an executive role. “We have completed another major project—the sale of a centre spanning tens of thousands of square metres, with a complex tenant structure and international scope. The key aspects of successfully closing the transaction, which we approached with pleasure and pride, were our client’s trust and open collaboration with the counterparty,” added Tomáš Quirenz.
