When do “additional works” turn into a claim? And how does the 28-day deadline under FIDIC apply?

Together with ARI, we organized a professional seminar focused on claims in the construction industry – with a special emphasis on transport infrastructure projects, Czech practice, and real-world project experience.

Under the guidance of Peter Kotvan, lawyer and certified FIDIC trainer, we explored, among other topics:

– the differences between the various FIDIC “Books”

– the specifics and pitfalls of design & build contracts

– the risks related to schedules and their changes

– and how Czech courts approach additional and reduced works

The discussion brought a wealth of practical insights and ideas for participants’ day-to-day work.
