Following the case law of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court, the Ministry of Justice will restrict public access to the Register of Beneficial Owners as of 17 December 2025.

After this date, the register will be accessible only to:

✔️ entities listed in the register, with respect to their own entry;

✔️ privileged users using so-called remote access, including:

      ▪️ public authorities, through login to the unified identity space or based on a request;

      ▪️ "obliged entities" fulfilling their duties under the AML Act, based on a request; and

      ▪️ other entities authorised by law, based on a request.

At the same time as the register becomes inaccessible to the public, private-law "sanctions" for non-compliance with the Register of Beneficial Owners Act will also be reinstated — for example, the prohibition on profit distribution or the suspension of voting rights.
