Is a year a lot or a little time?

The upcoming amendment to the Consumer Credit Act is not expected to take effect until November 2026 — but that doesn’t mean banks have plenty of time to prepare. Quite the opposite. That’s why our consumer law expert, Petra Bernklau, took a practical approach to our latest business breakfast. Representatives of banks left with a checklist of obligations they may still need to fulfill or finalize. Our partner Eva Nováková and attorney Kateřina Maysenhölder also shared their insights and hands-on experience.

Unfortunately, the seasonal illness struck down a few participants — but those who made it came with even greater enthusiasm. And since we live in a digital age, not only could the ailing ones join online, but so could more than forty additional attendees.
