We visited Ukrainian mothers

Escaping war is difficult for anyone, but what about when you are expecting a baby? This group of women is the focus of the minimimiua aid organisation, which we recently visited in Prague's Bubeneč district. The organisation has been helping 260 Ukrainian mothers across the country who have already given birth in the Czech Republic, from preparing for childbirth and providing a complete"kit" for the new-born to follow-up support.

And you should not go to the visits empty-handed. New mothers often forget to look after themselves for the sake of taking care of their children, so we brought them small gifts of cosmetics with a drugstore voucher. And, of course, winter clothes for kids and moms that we collected from the staff in our office. And although material help is undoubtedly important, we felt how much the Ukrainian mothers appreciated being able to share their current joys and worries with someone outside their immediate environment.

Thanks to founder Karolina Ruppert for the opportunity to provide at least a little bit of support for a good cause, but most importantly for the tremendous help she has been providing to mothers since the first weeks of the war.
